Pathfinder Maritime Training (PMT) was recently approved by the National Maritime Center to offer online exams. Meeting the NMC’s requirements was not an easy task, and the PMT crew couldn’t be more excited. Ultimately this option allows our students to earn maritime licenses completely online – from coursework to examinations. The process for online, video proctor sessions is relatively simple and consists of six steps. Learn more about online exams with the video or summary below. **Note: PMT rebranded in Feb. 2022. The below video references our previous name of Explorer’s Guide Online (EGO). All processes and approvals remain the same, and the only difference is the name change.**
- Schedule an online exam session by contacting the PMT
- Email, text, or call PMT to schedule
- We will then send you a calendar appointment with a link for the video proctor session
- Receive the exams via mail
- Exams will arrive in a sealed enveloped. Don’t open it until you start the video proctor session
- Log into the proctor session using the link provided
- Make sure you are in a quiet room where you will not be interrupted
- Make sure you have a reliable internet connection
- Have a government issued ID available to show the proctor
- Complete the exam, review the answers with the proctor, and receive your grade
- Use the prepaid enveloped to mail PMT your completed exams
- The prepaid tracking will notify us when the exams are in the mail
- Receive your Course Completion certificate via email
- You’re ready to complete other NMC requirements and apply for your license!
Hello I am interested in taking online courses for Master 100 ton license, I am also military and will be requesting funding from the Army TA program to pay for classes.
You must upload a custom price quote, provided by your vendor, for each Credentialing Assistance (CA) request you submit. Each custom quote must include the cost for each item on your CA request to include administrative application and/or shipping fee(s). Bundling is not authorized. The Army Credentialing Assistance Program Office (ACAPO) will not approve CA requests without the custom price quote uploaded to this request or if the quote is bundled. If you submit an incorrect quote, you can upload the correct one to your existing CA Request (while in “Pending ACAPO Review” Status). If the quote is incorrect when ACAPO reviews your CA Request, it will be rejected, and you will have to submit a new CA request with new start and end dates. ACAPO cannot revert a rejected CA Request to the original submission.
